Dyke Industries is a privately held company which has been in business since 1866. Dyke Industries, Inc. is the corporate successor to two millwork manufacturing companies, Dyke Bros., established in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1870, and Cole Manufacturing Company, established in Memphis, Tennessee 1866. The company in its present form was incorporated in 1942. Our fourteen distribution outlets are strategically located providing 18 states with a broad line of residential and commercial building materials including interior and exterior doors, millwork, and windows. Dyke has always been a forerunner in the millwork industry because of the belief in service, quality, and stability.

Position Description:

  • Transporting finished goods and raw materials to our retail and distribution customers
  • Inspect truck daily before leaving yard for mechanical and/or safety issues, complete daily inspection reports and make sure load is properly secured.
  • Able to pull product to the back of truck for unloading process at each stop
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions including backing up tractor/trailer to dock.
  • Comply with DOT and Company policies
  • Communicate with supervisor reporting any delays, defects, etc. prior to leaving customer’s yard

Requirements/Experience

  • Able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • At least 1 years driving experience
  • Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Valid CDL Class A driver’s license
  • Ability to drive straight shift and automatic tractor
  • Pass background, drug screen and physical
  • Able to communicate a plan to various groups
  • Able to deal with complications in a professional manner
